Barbara J. Krumsiek

Eugene and Agnes E. Meyer Foundation

1250 Connecticut Ave NW Ste 800 | Washington, DC 20036

from the foundation’s website:

The Meyer Foundation pursues and invests in solutions that build an equitable Greater Washington community in which economically disadvantaged people thrive.

We’re focused on reimagining, recreating, and reforming three key systems that are the bedrock of a thriving region:

Housing: Equitable & Inclusive Neighborhoods. Development in our region’s neighborhoods creates a steady supply of high-quality housing that is affordable and co-located with resources, amenities, and opportunities.

Education: Equitable & Inclusive Schools. Our region’s educational systems work for everyone in our region by providing the funding and resources to create welcoming, supportive climates that are free of bias and discrimination, and prepare students for college, career, and life.

Economic Well-Being: Equitable & Inclusive Economies. Our regional economy works for everyone because systemic barriers for people of color to earning, growing, and preserving the financial assets of their families and communities have been removed.
