International organization expands student volunteer program
A small international organization lost most of its federal government support. They wanted to reach out to new national and international funders to expand their student volunteer program.
Access Philanthropy conducted detailed research on program alumni and their connections to money, corporations and foundations. We also introduced the client to several national and international funders, and international NGOs that could support fundraising outreach efforts.
The client established an alumni-based development committee to increase outreach and fundraising. They raised $125,000 in the first year of the new fundraising plan and submitted proposals to 20 new funders.
Gifts from members of the alumni-based fundraising committee increased from $7,500 to $45,000 during the first year. The client joined two trade associations that resulted in grants, new board members and greater visibility.
